Does this guided shuttle service include ski/snowboard storage?

Yes, we allow each guest to bring one set of ski/snowboard equipment, (including one pair of skis or one snowboard, one pair of boots, and one set of poles). We store these items for you in special lockers on the outside of our sprinter van during the drive.

What do we do with our luggage?

We allow each guest to bring one large suitcase (or two small carry ons) as well as one ski/snowboard kit, including one pair of skis or one snowboard, one set of boots and one set of poles. If your luggage exceeds our allowance, you may be required to purchase additional space in order to bring additional luggage. Please inquire in advance if your luggage exceeds the allowance. We will not be able to accommodate overages at the time of pickup and you may be required to leave items behind or forfeit your seat.

Where do we meet you when departing from Big Sky?

We will pick you up at the Big Sky Town Center, on Lone Peak Drive, near Hungry Moose Market and Deli.

We will pick you up in Teton Village at the ski resort, near the base of the tram.

How do we get there if we do not have a vehicle?

If you are not staying at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort or in the center of town in Big Sky, you will need to arrange transport from your hotel to the pickup location. Check with your hotel for shuttle access that can deliver you to the pick-up point before we depart. If your hotel does not provide shuttle access, you will have to arrange transport by taxi or another ride service on your own.

Plan ahead, and make sure you arrive at the departure point approximately 10 minutes in advance of our departure. We leave promptly at 7:00AM from Big Sky, and 12:30PM from Jackson Hole. If you miss the departure, we will not be able to provide a refund.

Are there shared departures available on every day of the week?

Shared departures are currently available on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. If you need a shared departure on a different day, and you have a minimum of 4 people, please contact us directly. We may be able to accommodate your request. Shared departures are subject to availability and do have a 4 person minimum requirement for custom departures.

How much does it cost to travel between Big Sky and Jackson Hole?

If you choose a shared transfer, you will pay $250 per person. This includes a fully guided tour with a professional naturalist guide in a shared luxury vehicle with other guests (maximum capacity 7), a luggage allowance, and pickup and drop off at each resort. Shared departures require a minimum of two people to depart.

Private transfers are $1500 per vehicle and can seat up to 7 guests. This includes a fully guided tour with a professional naturalist guide in a private luxury vehicle, a luggage allowance per person, and a pickup and drop off at each resort. Private departures have no minimum guest requirements.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 7 day cancellation policy for all departures.  Cancellations made before the policy goes into effect will receive a full refund with no penalty.  Cancellations made within the cancellation policy period will not be refunded.  If we cancel a departure for any reason, we will offer to reschedule or refund your booking.  We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance before your departure to protect you from incurring any costs associated with unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from joining us.

What happens if the roads are closed due to weather?

Winter travel in the region can be difficult if roads are closed due to weather. It is our goal to run a safe tour and transfer you from one location to the next without incident. We will keep a close eye on weather patterns, and monitor roads for changing conditions or restrictions. If we are unable to provide access due to road closures, which are out of our control, we will notify you immediately, and either reschedule you or provide a full refund.

How do I book a guided scenic transfer between Big Sky and Jackson Hole?

On the main page, you can choose a private or shared scenic shuttle heading northbound from Jackson Hole or southbound from Big Sky. Select your preferred dates and tour class and book it online.

What can we expect to see on a guided transfer between Big Sky and Jackson Hole?

Our guides know these roads well, and will be on the lookout for possible wildlife sightings that may include eagles, deer, elk, moose, hawks, coyotes, and other birds and animals we might see along the way. They will also touch on the history and geological significance of the area, pointing out significant landmarks along the way. We expect this guided transfer to be comfortable and educational!

Is there a shuttle from Big Sky to Jackson Hole?

Absolutely! Mountain West offers daily guided tours from Big Sky to Jackson Hole, offering seamless skier transport between the two destinations. Each departure offers guided interpretation along the way, as well as equipment and luggage allowances for each guest. Departures are offered from mid-November to mid-April, serving Big Sky Resort and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort guests. Reservations are required and can be booked online in advance.
